Online tools really CAN free up your time and boost your business!

I'm noticing a theme here…

As some of you will know I have recently been “out of the office” working on a youth development programme. While I was away, Janine was going great guns and stepped up to a level of productivity that I admired from afar. On my return to the office, I asked her what her secret was in the hopes that I could be equally effective and efficient with my time. Her response?

I've been using some great online tools and systems.”

My initial reaction was a feeling of resistance, and I notice that this is a common theme of mine… a certain resistance on my part to trying out new tools that promise to make life easier. When Janine, or anyone else, espouses the huge benefits of this resource, or that tool, my immediate reaction is most often:

I don't have time to invest in setting up new time saving tools. It will be quicker if I just carry on as I was”.

So if I'm honest, Janine's response wasn't one I wanted, because it felt like it would be more work to try out new tools….

Sound familiar?

Nonetheless, in pursuit of efficient and effective work habits, I gave Janine's tools a go, and in less than 2 days, I was fully on board.

As a result I'm having a mindset shift:

Perhaps online tools really can help women in business to free up time,  grow their business and create work-life balance!

Maybe it is worth a small time investment to set up initially, to save a lot of time and energy in the long run (and even better if someone you know and trust has already tried them out and made a recommendation!)

Which leads me to feel full of anticipation about our upcoming webinar with Natalie Sisson, The Suitcase Entrepreneur. Natalie has grown the Suitcase Entrepreneur into a thriving online community of thousands, with close to 20,000 visits each month. Her blog is awesome and as a result, she features in lots of online publications including Forbes, Under30CEO, Young Entrepreneur and The Huffington Post.

Loving your honesty JoJo and I can’t wait to share some more info on the tools that are making the biggest difference for us with Natalie – and through future editions of Toolkit Tuesday!

Agree I think you’ve made a really valid point that many people don’t want to start using new tools because they think the learning time is worse than the time they will actually save once they start using them. We shall get to the heart of that! 🙂
