This is my final blog post in the Ultimate Blog Challenge for October – and what a sense of achievement!
31 blog posts in 31 days (not necessarily one every day, but the total is there).
Today is all about celebrating my achievement.
Reflecting on the month is interesting. Blogging definitely became easier over time, partly I think because I was in the habit but perhaps more so because I let go of my need for perfection and just got on with it.
Yes, there have been times when I thought about giving up… on the days when I was behind a post or two, on the days when I felt busy, or uninspired!
But I have persevered and am really stoked. Why?
There's just something great about setting yourself a target and reaching it.
I announced so boldly late in September that I was taking part in this challenge, and I'm pleased that now I can say I made it (as opposed to slinking off quietly and hoping no one asks)
It always boosts my confidence when I set a challenge and achieve it. It lines me up for future success and breeds great qualities like determination, perseverance and commitment.
There is a reason to celebrate…..
What shall I do to celebrate?
Acknowledging and talking about the achievement is a great start… I think so often we don't sit back and recognise what we have achieved before moving onto the next thing.
Is that enough? I know celebrating is important and I've talked about it before, but lets face it, while I'm proud, this isn't life changing!
And what's next?
Setting another even more challenging target.
Building on the momentum and focus I have created feels important. In addition, as part of the WE Mastermind programme we are part of we have each been challenged to set ourselves a pledge to take one big action step towards our goals. And the bar has been set high. HIGH. So that's what I'm off to do next and is part of my celebration.
